And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets.” And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking. They signalled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.
After using Peter's boat to preach Jesus tells him to put out his nets in the deep for a catch. Peter and his crew have been out fishing the whole night and they caught nothing. Peter says at your word Lord I will put out the nets.
Peter and his crew enclose such a huge number of fish that so much that the nets start breaking. Peter realizes we cannot handle this on our own we need help otherwise we are doomed.
Peter calls for help from their partners.
The kingdom God is built on partnerships. This is relationship cooperation among people putting together what they have to attain the same goal. God does not give everything to one person. One may have the platform but not finances. To another finances but not the ideas. When they come together each bringing what they have then the outcome is amazing and God gets the glory.
If Peter had nor summoned for his partners for help, it would have been a disaster. The fish was so much it was sinking two sinking boats. Think about that, how much fish would it take to sink a fishing boat? A lot of fish because fishing boats are designed to carry a good catch of fish. Now imagine the amount of fish it would take to sink two fishing boats. That is more that Peter and his partners could imagine.
Without the partners all would have been lost but because the partners came in to support everybody went home with more fish than they had ever caught.
As family media we have the platform and we can reach multitudes by keeping Jesus on the airwaves. Jesus did his part and he gave us a job to do, the great commission. Come on board and partner with us because we owe it to Jesus.
